India Heat Summit 2025: Rising Temperatures, Shared Solutions
The India Heat Summit, being organised by Climate Trends, will convene relevant stakeholders to discuss what may well be the single greatest climate risk facing the Indian economy.
Rising heat-related risks call for urgent mid- and long-term strategies—both structural and non-structural—to limit their economic and social fallout. Heat Action Plans remain India’s primary policy tool, but they need stronger coordination, investment, and cross-sector integration. Building resilience through cooling infrastructure, urban redesign, early warnings, and adaptive social protection will need substantial financial commitments.
The challenge lies not just in recognising heat as an economic threat, but in securing targeted finance to address it and protect livelihoods. India’s quest is unique in that it must build heat resilience while simultaneously driving robust economic growth to create jobs and lift millions more out of poverty. This calls for coordinated solutions from national, state, and local governments, industry, and academia. The heat conference being organised by Climate Trends is an attempt to convene these stakeholders to discuss what may well be the single greatest climate risk facing the Indian economy.
In this context, Climate Trends cordially invites you to its annual conference, India Heat Summit 2025 -Rising Temperatures, Shared Solutions. The two-day event aims to unpack the intersections of heat, economic risks, and sources of finance, bringing together stakeholders across key sectors and constituencies to co-create a roadmap for managing India’s vulnerability to heat risk.
