Investors are paying attention to Baltic startups as the region has produced eight unicorns and funding per capita is higher in the Baltics than in other CEE countries. SaaS and FinTech are booming, taking up 57,1%, respectively 22,2% of tech startups. We invited FinTech experts to discuss what makes the Baltic ecosystem unique and what created the fertile grounds for its development.

About the speakers

Erika Maslauskaite - Chief Commercial Officer at Nikulipe, a FinTech startup providing local payment expertise and access to emerging markets. Erika' expertise lies in business development & digital transformation. With over 10 years of experience Erika's team leadership acumen has propelled several companies into market leader positions with her guidance on brand, sales & marketing strategy implementation.

Known in the industry as champion of innovation, Erika is also an active advocate of the WomenGoTech initiative, mentoring program in Lithuania dedicated to helping women start and accelerate their careers in IT and engineering. Erika is also a co-founder at Deverium - mobile centric development company.

Sandra Golbreich - CEO and co-founder of Baltic Sandbox – a startup accelerator and community, based in Vilnius, Lithuania. Additionally, Sandra runs "Business Angel School" – educational programs for the EU business angels. Starting from 2019, Baltic Sandbox and Business Angel School are addressing the diversity issues in tech industries. Sandra helps close the gap by running the annual "Women in Tech" acceleration and "Women investing in Tech" educational programs.

About the Moderator

Ollie Forsyth - Ollie Forsyth is the former head of community at Draper Esprit, a leading later-stage investor before joining Antler as Global Community Manager. Ollie is also a passionate technology evangelist covering all things creator economy, gaming, social & the latest trends in tech.
