Blue Planet: Plant Tour
We are excited to invite you to tour Blue Planet’s demonstration plant—a perfect educational and inspiring stop on your way to wine country.
Join us to learn more about Blue Planet’s breakthrough carbon management technology and experience a live demonstration of our mineralization process, where we create carbon-sequestered and upcycled RCA aggregates that help lower the embodied carbon of concrete into the negative.
The plant is located at San Francisco Bay Aggregates in Pittsburg, CA, about 40 miles east of San Francisco—conveniently on route for those traveling to Napa or Sonoma.
For those traveling via public transportation, we recommend taking BART to the Pittsburg/Bay Point station. From there, you can grab or pool an Uber or Lyft to the plant, which is just a short ride away.
Join us on Thursday April 24th: from 2:00pm - 4:00pm.
This tour will provide a briefing of Blue Planet’s technological process, scale-up plans, and a rare opportunity to watch us capture and permanently sequester CO2 from local emitters.
Blue Planet was founded in 2012 to commercialize a revolutionary approach to CO2 management at the gigaton scale by converting captured CO2 into limestone construction aggregates where it is permanently sequestered into concrete. Blue Planet uses its patented Geomimetic ® process that mimics natural chemical processes that have regulated Earth’s atmospheric CO2 over hundreds of millions of years, creating coral reefs, the White Cliffs of Dover, and the Earth’s crust, which contain most of Earth’s carbon.
At full global scale, Blue Planet plans to permanently sequester gigatons of direct-captured CO2 each year from hundreds of global plants.
