Sacred Place United Church

We are a young church based in Rancho Cucamonga. Imagine a modern church where all are truly welcome—an inclusive church where there are no limits based on sexual orientation gender identity, socioeconomic status, citizenship, or marital status. This is a place for families to raise up children with love for neighbor and creation. We are a faith family with a deep history of loving Jesus and living into new ways of being Church. Our gatherings invoke ancient and new ways. Join us for the adventure of being a church working to increase justice, inclusion, and family in our world amidst these uncertain times.

We believe that as a people who fight for justice, inclusion, and family that everyone’s safety must be at the forefront of our ministry. This health crisis provides us the opportunity to imagine what the Church can be in a constantly changing world. We have begun a phased approach to gathering in person which started with picnics in June and July. We will begin gathering in person regularly as soon as it is safe to do so.

Justice-making is often daunting when our world feels so unjust at times. Finding something tangible that will actually have an impact can be difficult, but it is rewarding—not just for us who do the work, but for those who benefit from that work.

Including others in our world takes intentional effort to create places of welcome, places of safety, places of belonging. That work extends far beyond our online or in-person gatherings.

Sustaining the family of God starts with ourselves and grows to include the community around us. We work to find small ways of living out our mission in our community so that we might align our actions with our hearts.
