​The talk will cover AI's impact on product design—from introducing new workflows and design patterns to surfacing new problems. It aims to raise awareness and help designers better navigate the inevitable wave of AI.
​Xinran Ma is the founder of Design with AI (designwithai.co). Design with AI is one of the fastest-growing AI communities—currently gaining over 1,500 new members every month from companies like Google, Amazon, and McKinsey. He is also the author of multiple Amazon #1 New Release books in UX and awarded ADPList's Top 1% Mentor in Design 5 times. Xinran teaches the course AI for Product Designers on Maven.

​Designer titles are shifting—because the landscape is, too. In-house teams have become stronger and more central, but they’re also under pressure. With AI accelerating workflows and non-designers gaining access to powerful tools, the line between craft and convenience keeps blurring. The looming fear of being replaced—or overlooked—is real. Meanwhile, the agency model is no longer the default path. What’s rising instead are nimble, multi-talented teams that move fast, think across disciplines, and value range over rigidity. And from this shift, a new kind of designer is emerging—one who moves fluidly between roles, brings a sharp, curated sense of taste, and uses instinct and insight to turn ideas into impact. The job is evolving—and that’s where the opportunity begins.
