From Silos to Synergy: Building a Climate-Resilient Toronto Together
This a FREE event; however, we would love to have the financial support from the attendees to cover the costs because we are a NPO. The suggested ticket price is 20 CAD; however, please contribute whatever amount that makes sense for your financial circumstances.
Toronto’s climate risks from heatwaves to flooding are increasing in frequency and intensity. While many groups are responding, siloed efforts mean we’re not unlocking our collective potential. In a recent article, discussing the impacts of climate change, David Suzuki said “the units of survival are going to be local communities”, and called for communities to work together to be prepared.
Climate Resilient Communities (https://crc.place) invites you to a Toronto Climate Week gathering designed to bridge those gaps. Together, we’ll connect the dots between sectors, share what’s working, and align our goals to strengthen community resilience in the face of climate impacts.
Event Goals:
This event will bring together diverse voices to:
Build stronger connections between community adaptation efforts
Align shared goals for a climate-resilient Toronto
