After relying on a fully-featured observability platform hosted by third party provider, I set out to run our own observability stack. The goal was to deliver a similar developer experience at a much lower cost. This talk shares the journey, including key lessons learned, unexpected pitfalls, and practical tips for teams considering a similar move.
