Live Biochar Burn Demo

​Come see Napachar convert pulled grape vines into Biochar via flame-cap kiln pyrolysis, and enjoy Ricci Vineyards.

​Guests are welcome to arrive and leave at their leisure. You will be able to witness our process (and assist if you'd like*). Ricci will be offering some wines to taste, and we'll have light snacks provided.

​We'll have biochar samples as well as bags of biochar for sale.(We can even help calculate how much would be enough to directly offset the carbon footprint of your trip to the vineyard!) For carpool assistance: https://www.groupcarpool.com/t/5v03mu

​Approx. Schedule:

​10 am Ignite the kiln

​10:30-12:30 pm Feed the kiln

​1-2 pm Quench and cool the Biochar

​*Suggested PPE if you want to assist include a hat, sunglasses, and longsleeved natural fiber clothing
