Counting Seagulls at Centre Island
At Seagull Counting Club (SCC), we count seagulls. Bring your pen and paper, sunscreen and sunglasses, friends and family (toddlers welcome), and let's count to 89.
The first person who counts 89 seagulls will be crowned as Counter of the Week (COTW). There is no prize, but you will get unlimited sunlight (until 7:55 pm EDT).
Meet us at the entrance of the Sky Ride at Centreville, on the Centre Island*.
*Note on accessing the Centre Island: Centre Island is part of Toronto Islands which will take some extra time to get to. You can take the ferry/water taxi, kayak, SUP, take your boat, drive your jet-ski, fly your yacht while sunbathing, or swim**. If you're taking the ferry***, make sure to check the schedule on the website - online purchase of ferry tickets in advance is recommended.
**not recommended.
***seagulls counted while riding the island-bound ferry can be counted towards the total count
