Howling at the Moon | Rewilding Wander
Does modern life make you want to run into the forest and scream?
Then join me for this cathartic Rewilding Wander, where I'll guide you in a healing sound and movement practice under the full moon.
Your own voice creates vibrations that are healing and soothing, releasing stuck energy and expressing repressed emotions.
This is a group setting for an individual, intuitive experience. After a brief introduction about the healing power of sound, and how to intuit and use your own sounds, we will all practice healing sounding together under the full moon, and incorporate intuitive movement.
This is not singing!
There is no right or wrong or good sound or bad sound. True story: I once physically ran away and hid from a singing class because I was self-conscious, so if I can do this, so can you.
Overcoming self-consciousness to do what feels right for you, expressing what needs to come out, and intuiting what your body and psyche need is all a part of rewilding.
WHAT TO BRING
a headlamp or flashlight, because this event is after dark
sturdy footwear, as we will be going on a trail
water
journal and something to write with
something to sit on, like a blanket or camp chair
wear weather-appropriate clothing
REWILDING WANDERSWildness is a state of being, whether you’re indoors or outdoors. ReWilding Wanders are monthly journeys into your inner wilderness exploring the ways in which you can be more true to yourself and your natural tendencies, and more connected to the natural world (even if you can't get outside).
RAIN DATE
I will update day-of if is cancelled. If this event is cancelled, I will reschedule for the following full moon. The moon rises later each day, so rescheduling a few days later won't be possible.
NOTE: These are not always the day of the full moon, and the time varies month-to-month. When planning, I check the sunset and moonrise times and choose a date that has a good balance of full-mooniness without being too late at night.
