Cylch LDN Interview with Sir Terry Morgan, former Chair of Crossrail and HS2
Born in Abertillery, Blaenau Gwent, in South Wales, Terry is possibly one of the most accomplished and professionally decorated people to have ever come out of Wales.
Terry has had an incredible and varied career. Starting out as an engineering apprentice in the 60s, he went on to become Managing Director of British icon Land Rover Vehicles, Group Managing Director of Operations at BAE Systems, CEO of Tube Lines (the public-private partnership joint venture contracted to maintain, upgrade and renew the Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly lines), and to Chair the National Skills Academy for Railway Engineering, the Manufacturing Technology Centre Catapult, London City Airport, Ricardo and, of course, Crossrail (now known as the Elizabeth Line) and HS2.
Terry has a wealth of knowledge, insight and experience to impart, and has had his fair shares of ups and downs throughout his career, and I can think of few people better able to comment on the state of infrastructure development and manufacturing in the UK than him.
Although now based in the West Midlands, Terry has very kindly offered to travel down to London for this event, and I can’t wait to speak to him. I hope you can join us.
