Bridges @ The Drop
Topic📍
How do we rebuild trust and design better incentive alignment bridges between venture capital, corporate VC for stewarding founders in the long term?
This session will tackle:
Misaligned incentives between CVCs and VCs: how to correct them?
The gaps in trust and transparency in VC/CVC term sheets and board advisory
Long-term stewardship as opposed to short-term exits - What do founders need and what do they face as challenges today?
Some real stories/ case studies: when it worked, when it broke, and what to learn from?
Frameworks for long-term capital with founder-first governance among VCs and CVCs, and Venture Clienting units
Why This Matters 🧩
In climate, deeptech, and mission-driven fields, founders need long-term cycles and decisions compound over decades. VC and CVC must evolve to be collaborative stewards to derisk the long-term growth of these startups. This session aims to build that bridge with transparency, radical honesty, and with the long game in mind.
One of the outcomes will be captured through the Reciprocity circle to foster collaborations between participants ( to form smaller circles). This is to serve as a conversation starter. A thought piece to be released after the event to keep the attendees engaged post the Drop.
Capture best practices for CVCs and VC also to collaborate for being founder centric.
