Meet the Founders who are Building it Here.

Epicenter is inviting founders in the local tech community to join our team at Epicenter's downtown headquarters to connect with their peers and learn about the available resources to support scalable businesses in Memphis!

Taking place on July 25th from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00p.m., attendees can expect to hear about the startup opportunities available in Memphis from Nate Smith, Director of Startup Services at Epicenter.

You can also expect to hear from local entrepreneurs who have founded and grown their businesses through the help of Epicenter and the broader Memphis entrepreneur ecosystem. For this event, we will be providing appetizers from Good Fortune Co. and a selection of beverages bartended by Juice by Lissa including a Blue Note Bourbon craft cocktail.

Please RSVP by July 18th to confirm your attendance. We hope to see you there! Epicenter is located at 150 Peabody Place right at the intersection of Peabody and BB King. Street parking is available. Garage parking is available at 250 Peabody Place.

About the Speakers: Nate Smith

Nate Smith is Epicenter’s Director of Startup Services. Nate has been working with venture capital, angel investors, and startups for almost a decade, and is also a musician and artist.

About the Speakers: Naren Balasubramaniam

Naren Balasubramaniam has been an executive & entrepreneur for 23+ years with experience in healthcare, technology and consulting industries and has led people and culture, technology services, strategic business development functions. A lifelong learner, recently graduated from Wharton Executive Education with a focus on strategic finance, private equity, venture capital, and scaling business for growth, among other areas of continuous learning. His passion to enable children to live to their fullest potential inspired him to launch a Memphis based venture, Metamorphix, Inc that focuses on early detection of mental health needs among K-12 children and intervention management.

About the Speakers: Alfred Milan

Alfred Milan is the CEO of Express Wages. They are the first African American Fintech company in their space. Express Wages is an LLC Fintech start up company based in Delaware LLC headquartered in Memphis, TN.  It is a fintech startup with an emphasis on wages on demand for companies who struggle with employee turnover and financial insecurity for employees.
