SOLAR SYSTEM is back for 2025 with a special DJ set from Abby Echiverri and two live sets from the organizers, A Tripp and Fuzzy.
Abby Echiverri is a multi-dimensional musician whose practice spans production, DJing, live performance, and audio engineering. Classically trained in violin, flute, piano, and vocals—with a youth spent digging for records and studying recording, and years spent manufacturing and maintaining audio equipment for studios and clubs—she possesses a rare combination of talent, taste, and the technical fluency to express it through sound systems. Behind critically acclaimed releases on The Bunker and DFA, her most recent record, Ubi Sunt, sees her leaning further into a singular blend of infectious polyrhythms and dub-inflected sound design. Not afraid of leaving the studio—her unforgettable live set at Fourth World a few years ago still echoes—Abby continues to DJ regularly in NYC and tours globally as a member of LCD Soundsystem.
At the heart of SOLAR SYSTEM is a one-of-a-kind hi-fi system operating entirely off the grid. Powered by batteries charged with solar energy and buttressed by on-site panels, SOLAR SYSTEM rises and falls with the sun, offering a glimpse of a smaller, more sustainable musical future.
