Data and designers
As problem-solvers, designers today find themselves increasingly integrating data and AI into design processes.
Ours is an industry where precision, personalisation, and efficiency are increasingly sought after. UX researchers classify and identify problems using data from analytics and users. Product designers validate a new user flow by measuring conversion and drop-offs. Interaction designers read heat maps and design interfaces that visualises and turn data models and predictions into more accessible, interactive information. Tools like Miro, Figma and Notion comes pre-packaged with AI capabilities, fast becoming indispensable to designers.
Integrated future
But if we zoom out and look at the entire design process, we’ll notice a bigger shift. Creative thinking, not technology, is now the limit. ChatGPT taught us that we can get insights in seconds, not months. We can use data and AI to understand, serve and delight our users better now, when it was not humanly possible just years ago. And far from the art boards we’ve grown accustomed to, our future design canvas is nothing like we’ve seen before.
