About the Event
The Voices Against Violence (VAV) Annual Event is The Smile Outreach’s flagship gathering dedicated to advancing gender justice and combating gender-based violence (GBV). Since its inception as a one-day event in 2024 (#VAV24), the initiative has expanded into a year-long advocacy program, featuring:
✅ #VAVWomen25 – Recognizing the top 25 women leading the fight against violence.
✅ Monthly Discussions – Conversations on gender justice, policy, and action.
✅ Hand-to-Mind Club Writing Competition – Inspiring young advocates through storytelling.
✅ Annual #VAV Event – A national platform for education, dialogue, and recognition.
#VAV25 will be the biggest edition yet, convening activists, policymakers, educators, youth leaders, and survivors for a dynamic day of awareness, action, and recognition.
