AG2: AutoGen, Evolved
Autogen was one of the early multi-agent frameworks!
In the beginning, the authors’ mission was to enable next-gen AI agents to solve complex real problems, and they started by building a foundational open-source framework for agentic AI programming. A community formed around their work.
Now, the co-creators of Autogen have revamped the framework and are launching a new startup, fresh of the heels of their latest Deeplearning.ai course, AI Agentic Design Patterns with AutoGen. In that course, they cover a few different types of agentic systems, including Reflection, Tool use, Planning, and Multi-agent collaboration.
In this event, we’ll be joined by the creators Qingyun Wu and Chi Wang live to discuss the next evolution of the framework, of the community, and what they plan to do with what is likely to be a very hot new startup coming up onto the LLM scene.
After a brief review of the original paper we will, of course, break down the core concepts at play in this framework, as well as any foundational constructs. This includes discussion with the authors where we’ll compare their work to some of the other leading frameworks including LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, and Swarm.
