First Meeting of the Legal AI User Group
The Legal AI User Group aims to bring together a diverse group of legal stakeholders actively working on legal AI projects, such as lawyers, in-house counsels, legal academics, and law students, to share how they are incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) into their work and compare notes on potential uses, best practices, benefits, and risks.
“Projects” should be interpreted broadly to include, without limitation, research or policy papers related to AI, efforts to develop AI software or integrate them into existing organisational workflows or university courses, and even hobby or open-source projects on legal AI. Thus, our scope is wide enough to include people who research, develop, distribute, integrate, or simply use AI — hence the concept of a “User Group”.The Group also aims to provide a platform for brainstorming how legal education can be refined in light of AI's potential impact on the legal profession.
