"True climate consciousness means moving towards integrity across all my daily choices, including how I spend those ~40 working hours each week.
Shifting from sustainability thinking to regenerative thinking changed everything. Sustainability asks, 'How do we do less harm to our climate?' while regeneration asks, 'How do we restore it?'
Once I understood this distinction, I couldn't unsee how design isn't neutral. Every brief I accept, every visual and animation I create, has an impact on our progress in healing our one and only earth.
That shift in perspective made me realise: my choice in what design work is actually worth doing matters to me, and wonder how I can actively work towards it."
Kristen Mah, Communication Design fresh graduate with a background in illustration and branding
"Climate consciousness and my creative practice should not be separate – and weaving them together is something I am learning and striving for!
Our earth, its beauty and its life has been a source of creative inspiration for us like no other. I've taken so much from it and now it's time to give back.
We may think our impact in the world is small but I hope to continue healing whatever part of it I can with whatever creative capacity I have been given."
Come be a part of this open discussion! Part of the panel will be open to the floor to those who would like to share their experience and perspective.
