About Event

What if play and imagination weren't distractions but solutions for our climate crisis?

As part of the San Francisco Library's Everybody's Climate program, join NorCal Public Media as we explore stories and upend assumptions in a special screening of the new regional Emmy-winning PBS series, CLIMATE CALIFORNIA.

We'll be screening episode 6, where we...

-Learn about stewardship through surfing
-Overcome systemic barriers through community
-Play role-playing games to learn about climate change
-Break apart economic assumptions

Climate change demands new solutions - and new stories. Join us for a discussion on what we need those stories to be.

Travel to Lands End/Legion of Honor (Lands End, San Francisco, CA 94121) for deep networking, short easy "hike", cobuilding the Labyrinth that has been broken/disrupted, and enjoying an epic sunset sound healing experience

https://www.sfgate.com/local/article/lands-end-trail-17861155.php What makes the Lands End trail one of San Francisco's best hiking trails

What to bring/prepare:

  • a jacket/shawl in case it gets chilly as we will get close to the ocean

  • We are looking for a local small business to share healthy food with whoever joins and volunteers. Please recommend. Or grab some dinner you can eat at the site.

  • Bring an instrument if you are able to. We will create an interactive sunset sound healing experience.

  • Kids/dogs are welcome and the hike is very easy

  • Be your most constructive and collaborative self. This is so we can play and network while resplendent with San Francisco's ancient Nature
