ABOUT THIS EVENT:
The first yoga movement series designed to sync up your mindful drinking and overall health goals.
Whether you want to change your drinking habits to benefit your gut health, reduce stress and anxiety, or balance your hormones, bringing your workout routine into alignment with your goals is one of the easiest ways to amplify your progress.
For this special member series, Seek has partnered with NYC-based Yoga Instructor and Meditation Guide, Martine McKinney-Ewart. Martine has designed 4 unique class formats that are rooted in mindful drinking intentions.
GUT CHAKRA FLOW
The first class of this series will focus on the third chakra (aka the solar plexus chakra), which supports a healthy gut microbiome and metabolism. If you’re someone who is constantly running to the bathroom after a few drinks or has more consistent stomach problems, this class is for you.
Martine will walk us through postures and movements that have been proven to strengthen the gut-brain connection, which can lead to better sleep, lower levels of anxiety and reduced inflammation. *This class will run through the full month of Sober October.
*If you’re working toward a specific mindful drinking or health goal, you can let Martine know before class using this form.
After every class, we’ll share a recap of the movements, mindful drinking and health goals Martine focused on so you can incorporate them into other workouts.
*Every class will incorporate movements that are proven to support health goals you may be working toward in your Seek plan. If you haven’t taken a Seek test yet, you’ll still walk away with a strong understanding of how certain movements can impact your health goals (e.g., better sleep, improved gut health, less anxiety).
About Martine McKinney-Ewart
Martine McKinney-Ewart is an open minded Yoga Consultant and 200 hour RYT. Martine started her journey with teaching mind and body connection in 2015, when she became a NASM Certified Personal Trainer while studying Psychology at NYU. Martine realized that movement had a huge impact on her mental health and decided to share that with others. She later continued her experience and became a NASM Behavior Change Specialist. This allowed her to dive deeper into the behavioral patterns associated with motivation. Martine has now been teaching yoga and guided meditation for the last five years privately and in group settings. Her accessible classes encourage self-awareness and self-love.
