Ciudad Morazan is a residential free private city in a special economic zone in Honduras that provides affordable housing and security for several dozens of Honduran families.
Equipped with the advantages of legal autonomy as part of the Honduran ZEDE law, Ciudad Morazan is aiming to become a hub for digital nomads and bootstrapped founders.
Incorporating your LLC and staying for a month in Morazan costs as little as $450, in your own house with services included.
This is a two-part event - one virtual, one in-person.
The goal of this event is to educate about one of the most interesting private cities in the world, and offer an opportunity to come visit it together with a group of free spirits.
Talks feature:
Massimo Mazzone, founder of Ciudad Morazan (tentative)
Vera Kichanova, economist at the Free Cities Foundation
Joyce Brand, the biographer of Spencer Heath MacCallum
Jorge Colindres, the Mayor of Prospera Honduras
Alex Ugorij, the lead for the "Bootstrap City" initiative
Zachary Caceres, author of the "Startup Cities" blog
In person, we will do various things such as:
Business idea development
Workshop on business regulation
Business pitch competition
Picnic with local residents
Dinner & evening program
The virtual event is free; the in-person event will cost an affordable bundle fee for transport from and back to San Pedro Sula, 1-night stay, food & drinks.
