About Event

  4. What: Mo Tiwari is currently a Member of Technical Staff at OpenAI. Mo is a Stanford University Computer Science Ph.D. graduate and Caltech Mathematics and Physics alum. His talk will share insights into the frontiers of AI safety and alignment. The discussion will explore key challenges in ensuring that powerful AI systems behave in ways that are aligned with human values, with a focus on both theoretical frameworks and practical approaches. Drawing from recent work at OpenAI, the talk will touch on topics such as interpretability, reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF), and emerging risks from increasingly capable models.

No specific technical background is required - we welcome all interested students who are eager to learn! As with all CAIA events, we will have pizza and boba!
