About Event

Hear from this year’s cohort of startups focused on building digital products that positively impact youth mental well-being!

If there are cohort companies who you would like to learn more about, let us know and we’ll connect you with their founders.

  • Abloom is a well-being platform designed to combat loneliness and anxiety, supporting student mental health with wellness tools to help them develop the emotional intelligence they need. Our 3-minute daily check-in empowers users to reflect on their emotions, connect with a supportive community, and receive encouragement from peers who understand their experiences.

  • Appa Health is revolutionizing mentorship for Gen Z. We pair vetted near-peer mentors with evidence-based life skills taught by way of short form videos. Appa has been awarded a $2M SBIR grant and is rapidly expanding with CA public schools where the program is particularly impactful for students who are traditionally under or inappropriately served.

  • Astro Studios supports youth mental-wellbeing through media and by driving the creation of IRL community spaces. We're matching cohorts of 6 young people who commit to 4-6 weeks of weekly meetings as they complete casual play based programming to help them create more meaningful friendships.

  • Clymb is an AI-driven mental and emotional health software providing personalized, culturally competent wellness support to school-age children, especially in underserved Black and Brown communities.

  • Flourish Labs is a healthcare company on a mission to scale professional peer support with technology to address the youth mental health crisis. We expand the mental health workforce by training diverse young adults who are in recovery from mental illnesses and/or substance use disorder to become certified Peer Support Specialists. On Peers.net, our telehealth platform that was co-designed with teenagers and young adults, we offer them 1 on 1 peer support with a peer supporter of their choice via video, audio and chat.

  • Healthy Hip Hop is the "Urban Disney", we developed our kid safe online platform, mobile app, original characters and content to help parents and teachers improve student learning environments with our culturally relevant programing and innovative technology.

  • Kalda is an LGBTQ+ self-care app providing video therapy sessions and therapeutic journaling to support anxiety and low moods. Created for and by the LGBTQ+ community.

  • Legends helps kids build confidence in 5 minutes a day. Designed for kids age 7-11 and their parents, Legends pairs legendary true stories with research-based activities to help every kid see themselves, believe in themselves, and treat themselves as the legends they are.

  • Levl shows youth and their clinicians how their medication treatment is impacting their wellbeing – empowering health literacy and self-efficacy.

  • Modality's AI-enabled infrastructure, training and safety mechanisms bring millions of qualified mental health paraprofessionals more jobs while significantly reducing healthcare systems’ costs, starting with the acute needs in the LGBTQIA+ community.

  • Psyche is a post-ER/inpatient single-point-of-access mental health care navigation for families with children with severe emotional complexities. We're reducing family stress by providing informed clinical/non-clinical care guidance.

  • Sonar is a smart wellbeing companion for every student. We power preventative wellbeing support through analysis of digital activity and 24/7 near-peer counseling. Our product is distributed via school districts.

  • TadHealth is a SaaS platform that reduces the steps to mental health care. We enable school districts to manage their mental health resources and improve access for their students & families, in one place. This includes self-help resources, scheduling referrals, and accessing crisis resources. For the districts, they get a management solution for their staff. This allows them to save time and bring in more funding through billing and grants.

  • TQIntelligence, Inc.’s voice AI-enabled platform effectively and efficiently assesses the emotional and psychological state of youth and provides clinicians, therapists, caregivers, and youth with insights and awareness that allow for early detection and intervention. The platform uses a brief voice sample to provide immediate feedback and personalized recommendations to ensure the well-being of youth everywhere.
