This event is fully booked. If you want to know when we will launch the next one, please visit https://lu.ma/good-enough-marketing and click on Subscribe.
We decided to put together a workshop that helps people understand personal branding as a strategic process combining self-awareness, market positioning and consistent messaging. As an added benefit, we address the challenges that arise when building a personal brand.
Our approach is hands-on, incorporating defined learning outcomes, practical frameworks to navigate common obstacles, and an open discussion on personal branding and marketing needs. This ensures we gain deeper insights into how best to serve participants in their personal branding journey.
WHY?
In an era where individual distinction is gaining more and more traction and where we are witnessing the shift from big institutional brands to personal brands, the latter has established itself as a critical competency.
Playing the game of personal branding can give us a significant edge in a world where reputation and online presence can make or break opportunities. And whether we want to or not, we all have a personal brand; we all leave some sort of impression on those around us or through our digital presence (even when not communicating, we are still communicating something). So we might as well get busy with how to shape it and shift from a passive development to an intentional curation.
WHO IS IT FOR?
This workshop is designed for technical professionals — whether you're working on a project, leading a team, or building a product — who want to improve their online presence and personal brand. Founders, CTOs, and tech leads will find it especially useful, but anyone interested is welcome.
What You’ll Gain
If you struggle to write a bio or an 'about' section, you'll learn how to highlight what truly matters in a way that connects with your audience.
If you're unsure how you want others to see you, this session will help you define a clear and authentic personal brand.
If you're building a product and want to promote it but don’t know where to start, you’ll get practical guidance on crafting a sustainable approach.
If your online presence feels scattered, you'll learn how to focus your message and share your expertise more effectively.
If you keep postponing posting online, we’ll help you find your voice and create a plan that feels natural and manageable.
This workshop is all about simple, actionable steps to help you present yourself with more confidence and clarity. Once you have clarity, it is easier to take decisions.
THE STRUCTURE
FIRST PART: The Personal
Identify your strengths, expertise, and the story that sets you apart, by clarifying:
Passion: What drives you?
Values: What do you stand for?
Performance: What are you great at? (skills that build trust)
At the end of this first part you should have a short written bio of yourself through self-reflection.
SECOND PART: The Business
Define your online presence in the context of the audience that you want to reach and the objectives that you are trying to achieve.
Here we will explore:
Audience: Who is and where is your audience?
Attention: What do you think people might pay attention to, find valuable, worthy of their time?
Presence: Where are you present and how can people discover you?
Positioning: How do you want to be perceived and seen? How do you expand your network? What are your key messages?
Style Guide: Here we will briefly explore what type of content you should produce, frequency, visual identity, tone of voice.
At the end of this part you should be have a unique value proposation, a map of your online presence and a definition of who you want to be for your audience.
THIRD PART: The Challenges
Here we will help you define tactics to keep you going while remaining authentic.
Consistency: How do you show up for people in a consistent way and what are the blockages, barriers and challenges that might stop you for doing this consistently.
Keep going: We will tackle these challenges and we will explore some tactics to keep you going, so you can show up in an authentic and consistent way for yourself and your audience.
FORTH PART: Discussions
We will take a few examples of the problems you are facing and see what options there are. We will also ask for feedback on the workshop, so we understand what works and how to better improve what we are offering.
We plan on continuing the discussions in a Discord group to which you will have access after participating in the workshop (we are setting it up as a support community that shares common knowledge and different experiences).
DURATION
We plan for a 3-hour workshop. At the end we will have a feedback session to understand what worked, what didn't work, what we can do better.
PRICE
$30
This exclusive, small-group workshop (max. 10 participants) is being offered at a special introductory price as we launch our first edition. Future sessions will be priced higher, so this is a great opportunity to join early, get hands-on guidance, and help shape the experience with your feedback!
FACILITATORS
The workshop will be moderated by Lucian Ghinda who is a Senior Developer & Product Engineer with 20+ years of experience and eager to find out more about personal branding.
We doubled down on the marketing expertise, so we brought in Toni Gherca, a Branding, Marketing and Product Design Consultant with 20 years of experience, who will be joined by Elena Tudorache, who is a Marketing & Communication Professional with more than 14 years of experience.
To close the circle, Irina Paraschiv, Psychotherapist and Emotional Educator joins the session to explore the challenges of personal branding from an emotional perspective (we find the mindset equally important to the knowledge).
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
