A is for Africa, A is for Aleo, A is for Adaku. Join us for Aleo's first ever zkHouse in Africa. INTRODUCING - Aleo zkHouse Lagos: Learn & Earn at VIBES WITH DR ADAKU LAGOS FESTIVAL 2.0. Each developer that joins will earn up to N75k for participating in the 4 workshops and following the tasks. This is a hands-on day so you need to bring your laptops to partake!
Dive into the world of Web3, privacy, and security with Aleo's first-ever zkHouse event in Africa. This day is tailored for developers, tech enthusiasts, and blockchain aficionados. Expect interactive workshops, networking opportunities, and a deep dive into Aleo’s cutting-edge technology.
Day 1 of VIBES WITH DR ADAKU LAGOS FESTIVAL is 'Developer Day' and you're in for a treat! Day 2 is 'Creator Day' but devs are expected to come to both days as we will be awarding attendance certificates on day 2. Importantly, we have wellbeing initiatives embedded in the program on both days as your wellbeing is so important!

9:00 AM: Registration - Come early to ensure you register in time :)
9:30 AM: Icebreakers & Introduction to Web3, Privacy + Security, and zK use cases, by Shodipo Ayomide
10:30 AM: Aleo Workshop 1 - "Aleo Advantage" led by Izzy, focusing on the unique benefits and features of Aleo (1 hour).
11:30 AM: Aleo Workshop 2 - "Learning Leo" with Alysia and Adaku, an engaging 1.5-hour session to delve into Aleo's programming language.
1:00 PM: Lunch Break
2:00 PM: Wellbeing for Developers - Engage in ZK games and enjoy relaxing wellbeing initiatives.
2:30 PM: Aleo Workshop 3 - "Building Private dApps on Aleo", a practical 1.5-hour workshop on developing decentralized applications.
4:00 PM: Aleo Workshop 4 - "zKNFTs" exploring non-fungible tokens on Aleo's platform, featuring remote assistance from Dennis & Arjun (2 hours).
6:00 PM: Light Dinner & Dance Break - A mix of ideathon, feedback sessions, and a chance to unwind with dance.
Evening Sessions:
6:30 PM: 'Health is Wealth' segment with Yoga/Meditation on 'DR ADAKU x ALEO mats'.
7:00 PM: Grants Workshop & Monetisation Session - Insights into Aleo grants and financial strategies for developers. Monetisation workshop by TVC CFO - Victoria Abiola Ajayi.
7:45 PM: 'Project Manage Your Life' - A workshop focused on planning and organising post-grant success.
8:00 PM: Health Panel Discussion - "Look After Yourself!" emphasising the importance of mental and physical health plus Therapy Session with a Lagos-based therapist.
8:45 PM: Closing Ceremony - Ending the day with a dance break and music until 10 PM.

Day 2: Concert Day (December 30th, 2023) - Eko Hotels & Suites
Overview: Celebrate the fusion of technology and culture at the vibrant Vibes with Dr. Adaku Lagos Festival. The day is packed with performances, panels, and interactive sessions, culminating in a grand concert by Dr. Adaku and other talented artists.

8:00pm: Health and Wellbeing Panel + Preview of the "O GA DI MMA" documentary.
8:30 PM: DR ADAKU Performance - A one-hour spectacular show including interludes for dancers.
9:30 PM: Award Ceremony - Recognising achievements with an overview video of Day 1.

Description: Dive into the basics of the Leo programming language. Explore its role in privacy-preserving technologies.
Task for N25K Reward: Write and run a simple Leo program.

Workshop 3 - dApp Development on Aleo
Description: Learn to use Aleo’s SDKs to build a full-stack dApp on Aleo with an emphasis on privacy.
Task for N25K Reward: Push a Github Repository using Create-Aleo-App.

Workshop 4 - Deploying zkNFT Collection
Description: Dive into deploying zkNFT collections on Aleo, from setup to creating an interactive NFT website.
Task for N25K Reward: Set up an NFT website that communicates with a wallet and demonstrate interaction.

About Adaku
Dr Adaku Jennifer Agwunobi, also known as 'DR ADAKU', is a British-Nigerian singer/songwriter and PhD holder. Adaku has 4 degrees, and was also the first Black doctoral researcher at her previous campus to obtain a PhD, which she finished within 2 years and 10 months of starting. She is also a Postdoc and Fellow at the University of Oxford and the current president of the Oxford Blockchain Society. Her first Postdoc was in Engineering Science and her second is in Primary Care Health Sciences, her other degrees also consist of Economics and Health Economics (MSc) and she is very passionate about providing opportunities to society in all ways possible. DR ADAKU released her debut album 'the vibes are known' in 2021 which is a fusion of cultures and vibes, as well as the home of “Egwu Ukwu” which she is known for. Genres include highlife, afrobeats, R&B/soul and UK rap. Last year, Dr Adaku organised and performed at a successful headline web concert in Lagos (IRL) sponsored by Lens Protocol where she had over 30 opening local acts from Lagos, Nigeria and educated them on web3 whilst giving them a platform to perform and share their talents. She created job opportunities for creatives in Lagos during the period of the concert organisation, execution and beyond. This years edition will be two days with the first day being a ‘Developer day’ for Lagos based software engineers and the second day being a ‘Creator day’ for creatives/artists and more, though both are invited to both days.

Formerly a Blockchain Data Engineer, she now empowers developers through engaging and educational content.
