​Peter Barrett is Partner at Boston-based Atlas Venture, one of the world’s leading biotech venture firms. Atlas has over $2 billion under management and its portfolio has produced 40 IPOs and 34 M&As in its 30 year history. Prior to joining Atlas Peter was co-founder, executive vice president, and chief business officer of Celera Genomics, which announced the first successful sequencing of the human genome in 2001.

​Dr. Barrett is a Senior Fellow at the Harvard Business School and is the Faculty Chair of the Key Advisory Board of the Blavatnik Fellowship Programme. He serves on numerous boards including Nucleate's, where he provides guidance on our mission to educate and empower the next generation of bio-innovators.

​We are delighted to hear from Peter as he shares insights from his incredible career, offering his perspective on the steps and challenges involved in bringing transformational technologies to market, and inspiring the technological pioneers of tomorrow.
