Sky-like mind
My name is Lucas den Engelsman - I'm a 33 year old meditator living in Utrecht. I'm learning Dutch, and can understand a fair amount, but am still much more comfortable writing and speaking in English. I was first introduced to secular mindfulness in 2009, but started practicing seriously about 7 years ago during which time I've sat many silent retreats. I've been influenced by many different teachings, mostly from the Buddhist traditions. The paths I've gone deep into are Shinzen Young's Unified Mindfulness system, various nondual teachings, and expecially the emptiness and samadhi teachings of Rob Burbea.
While I am a trained mindfulness teacher, I'm no dharma teacher - so I'm happy to come guide meditations and discuss experience, but I certainly won't have all the answers!
I became a father a year ago, so the edge of my practice these days is how to integrate what I've learned over the years into a hectic family life. As such, I'm very much looking forward to meeting others (like you) who are trying to bring meditation into their daily lives.
