September Breathwork for Grief: A Healing Journey for Women
Grief isn’t always loud or obvious. Sometimes it looks like numbness, fatigue, irritability, or that quiet ache you can’t quite name. It can arise from loss — of a loved one, a relationship, a miscarriage, an identity, a dream, a version of yourself.
As women — we’re often expected to hold it all together, to keep going, to be strong for everyone else.
But grief needs space. It needs room to reconnect with your breath and be able to deeply exhale. And it heals best in the presence of others who understand.
This in-person breathwork experience is a sacred space to be with your grief — in whatever shape or season it’s in — without needing to explain, fix, or rush through it. Through guided breathwork, somatic release, and communal reflection, you’ll:
✨ Give yourself permission to feel what’s been unspoken or buried
✨ Move stagnant emotions through the body with breath as your guide
✨ Find connection and comfort in shared experience
✨ Begin to soften the protective armor and open your heart — gently, safely, and in your own time
You don’t need to grieve alone. You were never meant to.
Join us for an evening of breath, release, and remembrance — and leave with a lighter heart and a deeper sense of wholeness.
This practice a joint partnership between Women Who Breathe and Good Grief, an Austin-based all-in-one platform that brings together all the resources, guidance, and support needed to navigate life's toughest moments.

Casa De Luz provides some equipment but please bring a yoga mat, a small pillow, and a blanket if you would like to make yourself your most comfortable for this experience.
Please bring a journal, pen, & a bottle of water to recharge after the session. Between 8-830, we can grab a cacao from Third Eye to reflect & integrate your experience.
ABOUT BREATHWORK:
If you are new to somatic breathwork, please see this important FAQ document for things to consider before joining. If you have any contraindications, please let me know in advance so we can choose a way for you to modify the breath patterns.
Breathwork is a term that includes many different styles of breath control - different breath patterns, holds, etc - that create various physical and emotional states. Each pattern I guide you through is done with a specific purpose. My sessions typically follow a - warm up, peak experience, and cool down progression. The process will often create feelings of relaxation, emotional release, and potential for new and insightful mental states. Participants can often revisit past events, let go of any emotional blocks or barriers, and make peace with different life stressors. There is often a big physical tension release that follows a session.
