About Event

Nigeria faces a significant credit gap, with many citizens struggling to access credit facilities. Traditional banks often shy away from lending due to high risks, and while fintech startups have emerged to address this issue, many grapple with high non-performing loans.

Despite this, Credit Direct has reported an impressive ₦4 billion ($2.6 million) in profits for 2023, establishing itself as a leader in the digital lending space over the past 17 years.

We will be speaking to Credit Direct’s CEO, Chukwuma Nwanze on how to build a sustainable and profitable credit business in Nigeria.

Chukwuma Nwanze is an experienced board member, transformational leader, versatile, and well-rounded business, and financial manager with over 20 years of experience in Financial Control, Consumer Finance and Performance Management.

He currently sits as the Managing Director of Credit Direct Limited, Nigeria’s premier consumer lending finance company.

Over the last decade, Chukwuma has helped the firm in consolidating its market share within the industry and strengthen its financial position.
