We’re excited to have you showcase the nonprofit tech project you’ve built over this winter at Develop for Good's Summer 2025 Demo Day!
Develop for Good is inviting mentors from Bloomberg and other top tech companies to conduct "mock interviews" where your team will be evaluated on your ability to articulate your work. Our goal is to simulate a "past experience" interview where you talk through a project you worked on to help the interviewer better understand your thought process and decision making.
What: Each of the two mock interview sessions is 30 minutes long. Your project team will present a technical walkthrough of your project to mentors, who will evaluate you based on your ability to:
Clearly explain your project
Talk to the technical decisions that were made and the thought process behind them
Convey the project’s impact on the nonprofit’s target community
Mentors will ask you questions after listening to your technical walkthrough. You are encouraged to engage with your mentors by asking them questions too. At the end of the session, your mentors will submit written quantitative and qualitative feedback, which we'll forward to you shortly after. We've designed this experience to prepare you for the next professional interview you mention your DFG project in!
Demo Day is also an excellent opportunity to network and follow-up with industry experts. After Demo Day, we'll help you easily connect with the mentors you presented to.
When: Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 10 am - 12 pm Pacific Time.
Please thoroughly review the Demo Day Student Handbook well ahead of time to best prepare for the event.
Develop for Good Program Completion Criteria
You must RSVP by Friday, August 15 to meet Develop for Good’s program completion requirements.
If you’re unable to attend due to a pre-existing unavoidable conflict, you must:
Notify your teammates so they can cover for your absence.
Mark yourself as “Not Going” on this event page by the same August 15 deadline.
Failure to RSVP on time or being a no-show will result in automatic ineligibility for DFG program completion.
