Movement Research Hack: Save the Warehouses
The Movement Research Unit is a network of researchers supporting people fighting for economic, racial, and climate justice.
Join us for our fortnightly Research Hacks! In these sessions we work together to do the crucial research that unions, direct action groups, and campaigns need. Every fortnight we take on a new project from a movement group we work with, from doing background research on professional landlords to finding out where big employers get their money from...
This week we are doing some urgent work with the Save the Warehouses campaign. They are fighting to preserve the historic warehouse community in Haringey following the threat of eviction and luxury redevelopment. The warehouses are not only home to many residents, but rich centres of cultural life and activism. We will be uncovering information that helps StW campaigners build leverage and remain in their home.
Anyone can be a researcher! Dinner and drinks are provided. All you need is to bring yourself and a laptop. Arrive from 18:00 for a 18:30 start.
