We've all smashed our faces into a keyboard following conversations with hiring teams that just don't "get it." They see a tug of war between our positions, vs. a collaboration, devaluing our advice and guidance.
In this session, we'll delve into what it means to be a coach to our hiring teams, leveraging our focus, experience and knowledge of the talent function towards making better hires. We'll run through scenarios and tools to help us practice and reframe our relationships with hiring partners, showing our value and setting up the stage for impactful collaboration. Expect to participate, practice, share stories and vent in community. And ultimately, come out a better coach, ready to guide hiring teams as the expert you are.
Nikki Adamson (she/her) is an entrepreneur, recruiter, competitor, equity advocate and mama. After working in sales and partnerships at Milk Stork, she founded Hustle Hunters in 2018. In running the recruiting firm over the past 5 years, she and her team team have focused on "diversifying innovation" through supporting early stage startup teams as they hire dynamic builders with a human-centered, DEIB-forward approach. One of her superpowers is building trust with founders and hiring teams, quickly becoming a trusted coach and advisor to their all-important people and team building work.
