On April 25, 2025, surrender to the energy of Embrasse-Moi: A Celebration of Love in Its Purest Form at Opera Cocktail Bar, atop the Illume Hotel, where Taipei’s skyline whispers freedom against the night.
From 9pm to 3 am, this elite evening unfolds as a symphony of art, couture, audio, and mixology, weaving passion’s undeniable thread through every moment.
BBLACC Studios’ visionary founder from NYC, Klaus Cherubin, unveils his latest collection in Taipei for the first time—a poetic fusion of fashion and art inspired by his father, Pierre “Piche” Cherubin, a Haitian brigadier general turned self-taught artist.
Piche’s polychrome paintings, ignited by Picasso-esque influence in the 1980s, radiate Caribbean soul with faces of strange proportions, unconventional eyes, and abstracted bodies as bold as pikliz, now transformed by Klaus into wearable elegance that wraps Haiti’s spirit in an artist’s embrace.
The night begins with an art show, displaying Piche’s works alongside Klaus’s couture, followed by a heartfelt sneak preview where Klaus shares how love—for his father’s legacy, for Haiti’s vibrancy, for art’s transformative power—inspired his designs.
A curated mixology experience ensues, featuring one-night-only signature cocktails and Haitian-inspired platters crafted to echo the collection’s artistry, before the evening crescendos into a premier after-party with BLCKTEETH, Philadelphia’s revered DJ duo, headlining alongside guest DJs, spinning R&B, Afro beats, and jazz until 3 am, filling the air with soundscapes that stirs the soul.
