After a thorough evaluation of all of this year's 120+ applications for Year 4 of the C2V Initiative, we’re thrilled to present the Year 4 Cohort, representing a wide variety of promising carbontech innovations to capture and convert CO2 into valuable products and services!
The Carbon to Value (C2V) Initiative is a multi-year collaboration between The Urban Future Lab (UFL), Greentown Labs, and Fraunhofer USA.
This unique partnership is driving the creation of a thriving innovation ecosystem for the commercialization of carbontech—technologies that capture, convert and store carbon dioxide (CO₂) into valuable end products or services.
Four years ago the Carbon to Value Initiative was formed as a way to unlock a new carbontech economy and bring innovative solutions to scale, all while building a collaborative new ecosystem.
Year 4 of the C2V Initiative builds on its first three successful years, which saw nearly 400 applications and supported 26 selected startups, including companies like AIR COMPANY, Carbfix, Carbon Upcycling, CarbonFree, Cemvita, Dioxycle, Lydian, Mars Materials, Planetary, and more.
🚀 STARTUP-CORPORATE COLLABORATION
The Carbontech Leadership Council (CLC) of the C2V Initiative is an invitation-only group of corporate, nonprofit, and government thought leaders who foster commercialization opportunities and identify avenues for technology validation, testing, and demonstration. Members consist of senior executives representing diverse industries that have made formal commitments to reducing carbon emissions in their core businesses and beyond. Current CLC members include BASF, Carbon180, Caterpillar, CO2 Value Europe, Consulate General of Canada in New York, Energy Impact Partners, Evonik, Fluor, Gore, Johnson Matthey, Shell, Veolia, and XPRIZE.
