AI Agent SF Meetup #5 - Agents in Production
Our 5th AI Agent Meetup is sponsored by BeeAI.
The SF AI Agent Meetup is a new & growing community for AI Agent Developers, Engineers, UX, Ops, and Applied Researchers exploring and leading the evolution of AI agents. Whether you're building autonomous systems, experimenting with LLM-powered assistants, or integrating AI agents into real-world applications, this meetup is the place to discover, share insights, and collaborate with your peers. Join us for talks, demos, discussions and networking with like-minded innovators shaping the next generation of AI.

Talk Details:
Lightning Talk #1 - Announcing a collaboration across the UC Berkeley Sky Lab, Stanford, UIUC, Intesa Sanpaulo, and IBM Research we invite you to participate in a cross-sector, cross-institutional survey of enterprise AI Agent use-cases, in an effort to bolster the foundation for systems research and development for agentic workloads. If you use the words "AI agent" or "agentic" to describe systems you are developing, we want to hear from you!
Lightning Talk #2 - The talk will cover how we at Vozy have been deploying generative AI agents in production for phone and messaging since 2018. I will share what we have learned from serving over 120 enterprise clients and automating more than 140,000 hours of voice conversations last year. I will also discuss the unique challenges and adoption barriers for voice AI in Latin America and how we have overcome them to combine automation with real time agent coaching and speech analytics.
Talk #1 -
Talk #2 - "Llama Stack in Production" - Meta is excited to announce a deeper collaboration between the AI Alliance and Meta’s Llama Stack, marking a significant milestone in advancing open-source AI development. We invite ISVs and businesses of all sizes to explore partnership opportunities with the AI Alliance, Meta, and Llama Stack. Please fill out this form to be considered for partnership opportunities.
This "Llama Stack in Production" presentation outlines a solution for easily building and deploying applications with Llama models, addressing challenges faced by both developers and API/service providers. The goal is to simplify tasks like inference, fine-tuning, and evaluation, and to provide production-ready agentic workflows. Llama Stack uses APIs and a plugin architecture to offer a standardized interface and toolchain components, enabling flexible deployments across various environments including on-premise, cloud, and on-device.Talk #3 - "Open AI Agent SDK + Temporal for easy to build, production-ready agents ” - AI frameworks like the OpenAI Agents SDK are designed to make agent development easier, but to get these things out in the wild, you need to make them production ready. OpenAI and Temporal have teamed up to make that part just as easy.
Temporal (fully OSS, MIT license) is a durable execution platform that delivers resilience - durable execution - for distributed systems. It implicitly implements retries, event driven/sourced patterns, state management and checkpoint-like recovery so that your apps - in this case, your AI agents - deliver, even as all sorts of chaos is swirling around them.
Long used by companies such as Snapchat, Airbnb, Doordash and many more to bring resilience to distributed systems, Temporal is proving very valuable for AI agents, which, honestly, are distributed systems on steroids. That's why AI companies such as Lovable, NVidia and even OpenAI themselves are using it too.
We look forward to building San Francisco's AI Agent community together! 🚀
Food and drink, engaging conversation, and incredible company will all be provided!
