Startup Pitch Event! The Feedback Loop (11/12) w/ Marty Ringlein of Adventure Fund
Join us for Tuesday’s taping of The Feedback Loop!
Every week, we invite a batch of early-stage startup founders to sharpen their pitch – in front of a live audience and later released on YouTube. After they deliver their 1 minute pitch, they'll receive 5 minutes of direct, actionable feedback on their pitch and concept from our check-writing investor judges.
As always, hosted by Sherveen Mashayekhi, Founder & CEO of Free Agency. Joining Sherveen as this week's returning guest judge is Marty Ringlein!
Want to pitch? Apply here! Important: this is an in-person event and will be recorded — but startups are all about execution, so don't be afraid of getting your idea out into the world!
Marty is obsessed with starting and investing in startups. On the venture capital side, he's a GP at Adventure Fund, which has invested in early to growth stage companies like Figma, Chime, Plaid, SpaceX, Beehiiv, and SwagUp, to name a few. As a founder, Marty has started and served as CEO at three startups acquired by Twitter, WPP, and Eventbrite, respectively. Now, he's on his latest upstart journey as Co-founder & CEO of Agree.com, an e-signature and payments platform. In other words, the man knows both how to recognize and craft an excellent startup pitch. There are few resumes in tech as dense as this one.
The session is unscripted and unfolds in real time – the judges don’t know the founders’ ideas upon their arrival. There are no slides, there is no script, and there is no live funding happening – it’s all about the natural pitch. Because the thing that holds most founders back? Storytelling. It always comes back to storytelling.
Doors open at 6pm ET, and the show will begin at 6:30pm.

"How to Ask Questions That Win You Job Offers" is a 30 minute masterclass. Most job seekers ask bad questions at the end of their interviews, putting their interviewers on autopilot by asking what everyone else asks. But with Sherveen's three-part method, you'll be able to ask a novel question at the end of every conversation, building stronger connections with recruiters and hiring managers than your competition.
You'll leave behind an impression that'll last 'til you get your job offer. Sign up to get the recording here: https://maven.com/p/1be06a/how-to-ask-questions-that-win-you-job-offers
