After transitioning from venture capital to community and event marketing for startups, she built a portfolio of product marketing experience—largely through volunteer projects and hands-on learning.

When a recruiter reached out with an opportunity at a SaaS company, she went all-in:

  • Tailoring her resume to the role in a single day.

  • Creating a detailed portfolio showcasing her real campaigns, website designs, articles, event photos, and social media work.

  • Conducting independent user research by interviewing PE professionals and summarizing insights into a report.
