


Our Hidden Powers: Discovering Geothermal Energy -- for all ages!
Join Baseload Power and the REAP Climate Center for a fun-filled day with the whole family to round out your SF Climate Week!
The event will feature a reading of Our Hidden Powers, a children's book about geothermal energy. The story of Ignis and her friends Sunny, Windy, Terry, and Kai, seeks to educate young readers and their families about geothermal energy, as well as inspire conversations about the unique gifts we all possess and the power of teamwork in making our world a better place.
Kids of all ages will have an opportunity to learn about how geothermal energy makes electricity with a live demonstration created specifically for this event.
Afterward, the REAP Climate Center will provide a tour of their facility, with an opportunity to learn about their activities. and meet some of the residents of their regenerative farm. Discover the power of regenerative animal agriculture and meet the sheep, chickens, and bees. Or learn about how living oyster reefs can protect us from rising seas. And more…
Doors open at 1:30PM, the event will start at 2:00PM.
