Workshop 2B - "Building a World-Class Culture" with Gibson Biddle

​As companies get big, they also get complicated and there’s a natural instinct to put rules and process in place. But these rules inhibit creativity and talent, just as you need more of both to successfully scale your startup. The solution? Culture is an antidote to mind-sucking rules and process. It helps employees make great decisions without rules or processes -- sometimes without even talking to one another. Learn how to define, edit, and live your company’s unique culture. We’ll do 2-3 “What would you do?” culture cases in small virtual breakout rooms that make it easy to connect with your product leader peers.

​About your workshop instructor. Starting in 2005, Gibson Biddle was VP Product at Netflix. In 2010, Gib joined Chegg, the textbook rental and homework help startup that went public in 2014 and now is worth $10B. Today, Gib’s a speaker, teacher, writer and workshop host. He’s managed product organizations as small as one (his own!), and as large as 1,000 (Mattel).
