Drink & Draw Toronto #73 Cherry Blossoms 🌸
The sakura's meaning is contradictory 🌸
It symbolizes both life and death, beauty and violence. As the coming of spring promises new life, so the blooming of cherry blossoms brings a sense of vitality and vibrancy. At the same time, their short lifespan is a reminder that life is fleeting. [Source]
Have you seen the cherry blossoms this year at Robart's Library, Queen's Park, High Park, or Trinity Bellwoods? (Or all of the above)
Join us to sketch either the cherry blossoms themselves from one of these locations or the idea of fleeting beauty that they represent ❤️
