We are facilitating a unique interdisciplinary privacy-centric hackathon around Berlin Blockchain Week.
The main focus will be on a practical solutions that can be applicable to stories, challenges that people experience around us now.
Those solutions that can be turned into products, so finally we will have so-called "end-user" privacy.
Now.
Not tomorrow, or in a 5 years.
Careathon concept
We believe in unity at times of political separation. Privacy in the web3 requires an interdisciplinary push from multiple actors from developers to event producers. Solidarity is the way to build "privacy awareness stack".
Careathon wll unite experienced Ethereum hackathon winners, OG hackers with 20 years background, internet surveillance experts, human rights orgs, social scientists, designers - everyone needed to develop a common language of Practical Privacy.
Careathon principles
Social layer - be open to people with different background, skill sets, geos, genders, nationalities etc. Create a collaborative environment for plurality to thrive.
Real world use-cases - focus on the stories that need privacy now. Real, alive, practical. Beyond only transactional privacy or web3 echo chamber.
Web2 + web3 privacy - match the best from two worlds, so cultures will enrich each other (example: invite GlobalLeaks team members to share takeaways about building & maintaining whistleblower platform that people really use).
