Okihi~Bringing Education Outside

​Okihi and Little Hikers of Bakersfield are excited to work together to bring you guys:

​Pathways: Bringing education outside

​An outdoor education program. Little Hikers of Bakersfield will be going to Okihi for an outdoor educational mindful experience and a showing of The Biggest Little Farm movie. This program combines learning about the local ecosystem with hands-on activities located along the Kern River.

​PREPARE

• ​Close toed shoes or high boots

• ​High socks or pants (proffered)

• ​Dress in layers

• ​Sunscreen

• ​Water bottles and snacks

• ​Blankets and pillows for movie night

• ​(Optional) Bring picnic

• ​(Optional) Umbrella for shade while you walk

• ​Safety talk about wild animals and the Kern River

• ​Learn mindfulness techniques for powerful observation skills

• ​Silent gentle hike

• ​Learn about native seeds and gorilla gardening
