THRIVE 2025: From Arrival to Belonging
In partnership with SMILE Canada, we are pleased to invite you to THRIVE 2025: From Arrival to Belonging.
Navigating life as a newcomer is challenging — and even more so when you also live with a disability. THRIVE 2025 is here to change that.
This event brings together Black immigrants and refugees with disabilities to share knowledge, connect with professionals, and build the resources you need to move from surviving to thriving in your new home.
Join us on May 31, 2025, either in-person at the Wildseed Centre for Arts & Activism or virtually on Zoom.
What to Expect:
✅ Panel discussion featuring Black immigrants with disabilities sharing their lived experiences
✅ Information sessions on housing rights, employment accommodations, healthcare access, education supports, and more
✅ Networking opportunities with community members
✅ Light Snacks, Drinks, and Goodie bags 🥳
ASL and interpretation services available upon request. Please note: This is an HYBRID event.
Whether you’re seeking guidance on navigating housing, employment, healthcare, or simply need a community that understands your journey, THRIVE 2025 is the place to start.
This event is proudly hosted in partnership with SMILE Canada, building inclusive communities for everyone.
