Tracy Margolies is Chief Merchandising Officer of Saks, where she oversees the merchandising strategy and initiatives across the Saks Fifth Avenue ecosystem, including Saks.com and stores.

With over 25 years of experience in merchandising, Tracy is an expert at maintaining successful partnerships between retailers and brands, knowing when to lean into trends vs when to pass on fleeting fads, and how to find the right mentor to stay ahead.

​Having served in this role since May 2015, Tracy’s leadership and expertise have helped to modernize and elevate the Saks Fifth Avenue merchandise assortment. She has over 25 years of experience in merchandising, including a 16-year tenure at Saks Fifth Avenue, during which she has overseen the merchandise strategy during Saks’ transition to become the premier digital platform for luxury fashion.

​Previously, Tracy held senior leadership roles at Bergdorf Goodman, and prior to that, she was Vice President, Divisional Merchandise Manager for women’s footwear at Saks Fifth Avenue. She began her career in fashion at Bergdorf Goodman. As a trailblazing retail industry leader, Tracy has a proven track record of cultivating emerging designers, building strong relationships with established luxury brands and mentoring the merchants around her.

​In 2022, Women’s Wear Daily honored Tracy on its list of the 50 Most Powerful Women, and in 2023, Footwear News inducted her into its Hall of Fame at the Footwear News Achievement Awards. In 2024, Berns Communications Group and Women in Retail Leadership Circle named Tracy one of the 25 Most Inspirational Women Leaders. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Maryland.
