About Event

This is a monthly virtual (via zoom) meetup for women who work in, or want to work in, climate.

Agenda:
1. Welcome + general housekeeping
2. Introduction of guests + facilitators
3. Go into break out room of choice (see below)
4. Move through topics in order of highest to lowest votes (7 min per topic)

We will use a Lean Coffee format, where we co-create the agenda real-time and get through the topics that are most interesting to the group. Each month we'll pick an industry learning theme and a jobs related theme to focus on.

For July 2024's session we'll be featuring a great and timely line up - we will have:

  Climate Policy and the Election

  • Guest: Ning Mosberger-Tang - founder of 1.5 Climate Strategies Group, focused on making catalytic climate investments in movement building, policies, electoral, climate finance, carbon drawdown and other climate solutions. Ning also was one of the first engineers at Google when everyone fit into 1 floor of 1 building.

  • Facilitator:  Ashley Bernstein  is a passionate startup builder with nearly 15 years of experience in the climate sector. She began in environmental policy and politics, and subsequently worked in strategy, finance & ops roles at Edison/PGE; software startups  in energy and transportation mgmt (Autogrid/Populus), Currently ,she consults with early-stage climate startups in EV charging, solar panel recycling, and direct air capture.

Room 2:   How Tax Credits Work in Building Renewable Energy Capacity

  • Guest:   Madisen Obiedo leads partnerships at Crux, a sustainable finance technology company focused on accelerating the energy transition. She began her climate journey consulting with climate tech companies and a deep tech incubator. •  Facilitator: Laurie McGinley is a former architect, current keynote speaker and  the founder of Via Lucent which focuses on  executive climate leadership coaching.

This is a casual event so come when you can and no worries if you miss a month. It's helpful to RSVP each month so we have a sense of who is joining or not.

Please reach out with questions or feedback. Anyone is welcome who identifies as a woman, no matter your climate experience.
