Sing with Crowdsource Choir: A Benefit for Vashon Wilderness Program -- November 9th!

Gather your friends and neighbors for an evening of joyful singing, one of the oldest and most unifying forms of expression. Vashon Wilderness Program proudly presents Crowdsource Choir on November 9th at the Vashon High School Theater. Doors open at 6:30 PM, and the singing begins at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $20, with free admission for ages 22 and under. All proceeds support Vashon Wilderness Program.

Crowdsource Choir breaks down the traditional divide between performers and audience, welcoming everyone—whether you're a seasoned singer or someone finding their voice. This interactive experience is designed to build community through song, offering a chance to connect and renew the cultural spirit of togetherness.

Since its inception in 2017, Crowdsource Choir has brought the joy of choral music to thousands, led by founder and director Joel DeJong, a highly regarded composer and conductor. Praised by American Songwriter as "one of the Pacific Northwest’s most talented composers," Joel has a remarkable ability to transform audiences into harmonious choirs. His playful and inclusive arrangements of popular songs make singing fun and accessible for all skill levels. Learn more about Joel’s work at linktr.ee/ioele.

Vashon Wilderness Program is a Vashon Island-based nonprofit that has been offering life-changing nature immersion experiences since 2007. Their innovative programs and seasonal celebrations have reached thousands from Vashon, Seattle, Tacoma, and Kitsap. Acclaimed author Richard Louv calls VWP’s work “good medicine for nature deficit disorder,” underscoring the vital connection between nature and well-being.

Research shows that time spent in nature boosts cognitive, social-emotional, and physical health. Combined with VWP’s cultural practices—such as gratitude, peacemaking, inquiry-based learning, and nature-based community-building—youth develop leadership skills that prepare them to thrive in an uncertain world.

Join us on November 9th for an unforgettable evening of music and community connection—all in support of a great cause!
