Play and Connect for Solo Founders
About Event
The event is centered around board games to surface how potential co-founders think, problem-solve, and collaborate/ act in real-time. Because let's be honest, it's hard to figure out compatibility from elevator pitches.
We already have two awesome solo founders signed up who are actively looking - hoping this can facilitate meaningful intros.
To curate a good mix of people, we are asking you to share more details to help me plan the logistics: https://forms.gle/8RTEgmWniiS8PjQG6
How it all began
I'm Isha Hans, a recovering founder who built 2 companies solo last year: one non-tech called Pumbhirri Studios, art focused which saw success, and a failed one in privacy tech where I built, learned, pivoted, learned more and even got into an accelerator: Founders Institute until I decided to drop out.
I learned that
doing it without a co-founder was brutal, and
finding the right co-founder is harder than building the product itself. Traditional networking felt useless in identifying a good complementary fit, and I burnt myself out.
Talking to other founders made me realize this wasn't a one-off experience, so I decided to draw on my learnings to help. My co-host Natan Simchovich really resonated with the idea - we both love board games and see how they create deeper connections than traditional networking. This event is an outcome of that - using board games to surface how people actually think, problem-solve, and collaborate.
