Workshop Host: Joshua Morrison
Josh Morrison is a legal innovation leader with a deep commitment to advancing the intersection of law, technology, and entrepreneurship. Currently, he is the Director of both the Future of Law Lab and the Investor Protection Clinic at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, where he helped to develop and launch both programs. In these roles, Josh has secured over $250,000 in funding and spearheaded strategic initiatives to foster educational innovation. He has successfully led multifaceted teams in developing and delivering innovative, impactful student experiences that merge technology, law, and business.
Previously, Josh served as a Lawyer and Innovation Director at SIËSDE Inc., where he developed various legal technology solutions, including Practice Management and Online Dispute Resolution tools in the Family Law space. He has also held pivotal roles at the Legal Innovation Zone at Toronto Metropolitan University, managing initiatives such as the Family Reform Community Collaboration, which explored innovative approaches to family law dispute resolution.
An alumnus of the University of Toronto Faculty of Law (LLM), Osgoode Hall Law School (JD), and the Richard Ivey School of Business, Josh combines his legal expertise with an entrepreneurial mindset. He was nominated by Canadian Lawyer Magazine as one of the Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers in Canada for his contributions to legal technology and online dispute resolution. His thought leadership is further evidenced through numerous publications and speaking engagements on topics such as artificial intelligence, the future of legal education, and access to justice.
