Building Institutional Confidence in Carbon Markets
Bringing together leaders in finance, climate tech, research and sustainability, this event will explore corporate sentiment and building confidence in Carbon Markets.
The event will open with an informative keynote presentation from Oxford Net Zero, followed by a panel of experts from different perspectives as they explore key trends (e.g. removals vs avoidance, contribution vs compensation), opportunities and what is needed to drive institutional confidence and impact.
Panelists:
Kaya Axelsson - Policy and Partnerships Research Fellow at Oxford Net Zero
Scott Eaton - CEO at Carbonplace
Chris Spry - Head of Carbon Markets at NatWest
Edwina McKechnie - Executive Vice President, Corporate Engagement at Emergent
Moderator:
Luke Baldwin - CEO and Co-founder at Nature Broking
The programme will be followed by networking drinks sponsored by fellow B Corps such as Maison Mirabeau and Tiny Rebel, and an opportunity for guests to continue to explore these themes with other participants.
Oxford Net Zero will be gathering insights from event participants through questionnaire surveys for research impact. The research will examine whether and how businesses are investing into carbon credits, and how they are framing their investments with respect to their mitigation targets. Insights from participants will inform the design of policies and corporate standards.
